    This app ,while accurate to newspaper print, is unreliable in download. It is often offline and even when updating will not respond

  • Delete, add, repeat

    This app works OK for about 6-8 weeks. Then, the paper will not load or it’s impossible to go offline after it loads. The only remedy is to delete the app and start over. Today was a new glitch. “No content. “ However, the internet version had content. Trying a reload again.

  • What a mess!

    This a horrible newspaper to begin with and the app is a joke! All they do is regurgitate Associated press articles ~ mostly left wing trash! They couldn’t deliver the paper on time or without being soaked! This app is trash! No wonder newspapers are dying! Don’t bottle with this mess!

  • App won’t open

    Unfortunately, I can’t open the app after the latest iOS update. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset my password, turned my iPad on and off and nothing seems to work. There are serious problems with the app and what’s worse, no one at the paper seems to take note of its issues.

  • Can’t leave ad pages

    The ads every other page are annoying enough but if you accidentally hit one there is no way to leave the ad without turning off my iPad. If I try to go offline my iPad tells me I am not connected to the internet and Safari cannot access the requested page.

  • Unreliable and frustrating!

    The app locks up. I have to delete and reinstall. After reinstalling, it tells me there are updates available and locks up again. When the app is working (not often!), it won’t load the current day’s paper. There is no way that I can find to log out and log back in.... only able to uninstall and start all over again. So frustrating when all I want to do is take a quick look at the morning’s paper. With more and more people reading their news online, the Times Union really needs to get a better app. Given the terrible reviews and rating, I’m wondering if they even monitor the feedback.

  • Autoplay video ads

    The video ads that constantly pop-up are beyond annoying. There should be an autoplay-off option. Not sure how much longer I’ll continue subscribing. It’s mostly biased AP and WaPo news anyway. The comics I can get for free elsewhere.

  • App has no consistency

    The FTU app crashes. A lot. A. Lot. Terrible. Not worth the trouble. Why bother paying a monthly subscription for something I can access occasionally? Hmm..... Terrible.

  • Going offline issues

    I have been having problems with deleting the papers I have gone offline with. The app is telling me I have reached the downloaded limit, then asks if I want to delete oldest to which I answer yes. I then try to download today’s & it tells me the same thing. I have deleted Sept. 11th & 9th multiple times & they keep showing as downloaded. Help!
