I have used this app for many years and now my new macbook pro won't sleep, the screen is always on. Please update the app I think is time after 3 years ! UPDATE: THE developer contacted me directly to resolve the issues and the app is working perfectly on the new MAC OS Big sur.

Original review: When I upgraded from version 1.25 to 1.26, it stopped working. I had a back-up copy of version 1.25 that I installed. Revised review: Just a couple days after I posted this review, version 1.27 came out with a fix. Surprisingly quick response. 1.27 works. Props for customer support.

Glad to see the OS app get some needed attention. Screensaver rotating to cities on the custom list finally fixed! Thank you. On my 2015 Retina MBP fans ramp whenever screensaver runs. Perhaps more optimization needed. Also, would be a to have control over the speed at which the screensaver rotates from city to city (too slow right now). Upping my review from 1 star to 4. Keep up the good work!

I wish the desktop would rotate like the screen saver, Id also like to see the weather widgit always stay on the desktop before minimizing to the task bar up top. If I can get these changes made it would be 5 star. As of right now I do not belive its worth the money at this point in time.
  • Beautiful Earth on your desktop but needs more.

I've used Living Earth as my desktop walpaper on my iMacfor over 3 years now. (BTW using "iPulse" Performance app - living earth using .01% CPU) For what it is, it's beautiful full color detail view of a close to real-time earth with changing clouds. But for the pass 3 years they haven't change it much. Here is a wish list of changes: You can't change the position and size of the clock or weather. If you want to move them on the screen like putting them together. Sorry that's not possible. Going to the next level. They should follow "Earth desk app" and offer In-app purchases to add labels for major storms, Earthquakes with magitude and major fires on Earth. All total great App guys!
  • Update Please

I really like this, but the operating systems are passing it by. I agree with another poster. Three years without an update is a very bad sign. It sends the signal that you no longer care about this applicaiton. I removed it from my computer because of how much computing resources it was taking. Way too much for what is does in my opinion. I would rather use my computing power for other things.

I have been using this app for years and love, love, love it more each time I check the weather. It is always accurate and looks Gorgeous every time it opens.

I have the app for my phone and iPad and I like how the interface is so I decided to buy the Mac version. I love how it can be your desktop wallpaper and/or your screensaver. I use it as a screensaver and I just can't stop staring at it as the world rotates. The only issue I've been having is that it can't seem to find my location. I've checked my location services and made sure it's on but still nothing so I have to manually put in my city. The other issue is that I can see the latitude lines sometimes as the world rotates and I can't seem to find a setting to turn this off. My guess is that it is a bug that needs to be fixed. Overall, I enjoy thr app and will definately continue to use it. Great Job!

The desktop looks beautiful but the weather information is consistently wrong compared to multipled other resources.
  • Good, but needs an update

It's great, but it appears that it hasn't been updated in a while. Also, the weather is not always accurate from my experience. The temperature seems to be off a few degrees from other sources.
