I cant get the most recent version to open or allow me to log in. Zilch. I've reinstalled it several times, but can only use the website version which doesnt have full functionality. What gives? Please fix!!

New desktop version for Mac crashes. Reinstalled still crashes. Last week when I was deleting passwords it would regenrate them immediatly. Waste of money. I need to trt another password app. DOesnt work half the timer filling in passwords. Everything seems to have gotten a lot worse with the application.
  • Annoying Bugs

I would ask the developers to fix some lingering bugs. Launching the program often produces no login window, my workaround is to launch it from the App store. I complained about this many months ago, and have reinstalled several times and upgraded my Mac, yet it continues. Also, editing a note allows a single character to be typed, then it jumps so I need to scroll back to the line I was on and continue. This is also old behavior. This is a useful program but should be properly implemented, especially at its high price.
  • Great password manager, almost as good as Apple's

Apple's product is seamless and this comes very close while providing cross-platform compatibility. There are the funny quarks as with every product, but for the most part it is consistent and you can have confidence in it working.
  • Does not work 60-70% of the time

This is not a great password manager to use. You rely on storing your passwords in 1 app, but Dashlane does not fill in automaticlly in a majority of the websites. So you enter the login information again and now you have multiple Login In's for Dashlane. I am very disappointed. APPLE's Keychain is much better than this.
  • Crashes on BigSur

Was working for me until Big Sur, but then an update came through recently and now it just crashes on one of my two Macs. Overall handy to keep passwords and sync them everywhere, autofill is mostly useful. Drawbacks: Tries to jump in on OTP (2 factor) codes, puts a pop up in the way when its trying to be helpful. Does not have a folder structure. Looking up a site in the plugin loads the desktop app - which means you type in the site again.

I have used Dashlane for about three years and it is definitely up there with the best password managers out there. It integrates with most browsers and works on mobile. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are times that you have to input your "master password" in between every login. My master password is intense, and at that point it would be easier to remember the website password. The issue is intermitten and I am sure it might have something to do with browser or OS updates. Overall, an amazing tool with a few minor issues.
  • Update broke the app completely

I just updated this and now it's impossible to even open Dashlane at all. I can get the app to start, but there are no windows available, no interface, no working commands, it just sits there completely inaccessible. Guess it's time to move all my passwords to an app that works.
  • Worth It
