  • Good but exceptionally overpriced

No pay as you go option. Have to pay an extraordinarily overpriced plan (~$25/mo) if you just want to send a one page fax (after the trial). Not customer friendly pricing!

I used this to fax a document and the document never went through. I tried twice with no luck. Never received any notification of issues or errors. Very disappointing.
  • UPDATE: App Updates Zero Your Credits - These Guys are SCAMMERS

This is the second time that the app has "zero'd" my credits after an update. The first time, I got a response from iFax Support and they restored my credits. This time they've done nothing but waffle on restoring my credits or providing me any other options. I'll be processing a claim with Apple for a refund on my most recent purchase of credits and then deleting the app. UPDATE: After weeks of pestering them to restore my credits it seems that I've used all my credits [NOT]. BUT wait, there are still credits in my account! BUT they can't tell me how many or how to use them. BUT, if you want to use the app, just use the free trial! BUT don't read all the negative reviews about how you can't cancel the free trial and how much you get charged. SCAMMERS!
  • Not so great

I had a very bad experience using it. I was using it on my computer -- it seems to work fine on Safari but is very buggy in Chrome. I signed up for the free trial and sent a fax, but for some reason that fax doesn't appear in my history, the receiver also apparently didn't receive the fax, and I got charged nonetheless. That didn't make sense to me.

  • Easy to use and setup - need a per fax option

I like everything about it except the proce model. If I faxed al the time it would be good but I send maybe 2 faxes a year (top end) so would like an option to pay $1 per fax as needed.
  • No Credits Only Expensive Subscriptions

Update Oct 2020 - recently they seem to have eliminated the credits system. Now you can only get expensive monthly subscription. Useless for the number of faxes I send. Have used this for several years. For its intended use it works well. But, and it is a big but, twice now on update they have introduced bugs that cause sent fax history to disappear. In fact, the sent faxes are still buried in application support, but they don’t show up in the app anymore. Reply from the developer is not at all satisfactory: “… it is not possible to add the old faxes again in the application. The tech team has resolved this issue and you will not face this issue once the latest update is available online.” In other words, the app is fixed until they break it again, and once it is broken, you are out of luck! Update: Another bug! If you make the mistake of clicking on the 7 day free trial and then cancel the free subscription, any previously purchased points are lost. Now I have to arm wrestle Apple to try to get my money back!
  • Subscrition only

Like a lot of households nowadays, I do not have a landline. So when it came to the one time a year that I need to send a fax, iFax was convenient for me. iFax used to allow users to purchase credits for a set amount of fax pages, but now they have moved to monthly subscriptions, which is more than what I need. iFax seems like it is geared more towards business than for individuals who rarely send faxes.
  • 20MB limit on files

I've used this app for several years in the US and abroad without issue FOR SMALL FILES. However, it has a 20MB limit, which meant I needed to find a different app for my Vote-By-Fax ballot for the 2020 election.
  • Not secure

If you use this app, don't use it to send anything confidential, because it will email you a copy of the fax. Email is not secure and the fact that this app sends a copy of your fax via email is a huge security flaw. There appears to be no way to shut this "feature" off.
