God laid it on Rick Myers’ heart so many years ago to use his technology gifts to help others learn, know, and study God’s word. I have been using it all this time, on many devices, at no charge. What an amazing gift! Thank you so very much Rick. And may God richly bless you for your generous heart!
  • Amazing e-Sword for iPad-Sweet Bible app

I have been using e-Sword for iPad on a first-generation iPad for a long time. It's so wonderful to have it with me while waiting somewhere or for someone, and generally having it at hand, always in my computer bag. I have also used it as my backup when teaching if the printers / Macs / networks or whatever is glitched. When I first installed it, I synchronized by downloading from web, all my modules, free and purchased, running on my iMac e-Sword for Windows, which at the time was running inside CrossOver (e-Sword X for Mac - another killer app- did not come out till about 2015). I used my keys to the software modules bought, plus all the free stuff that were available that I wanted. I have not added many new software packages in a long while, and I'm still a happy camper. Because I cannot bring the extensive notes I create in e-Sword for iPad Editor directly into my iMac, my work around is to copy my notes and then paste them into Pear Notes for iPad (another Killer app for both iPad and iMac). Then after I sync the iPad with my iMac using iTunes, I simply click a button on the iTunes iPad page, select the file from Pear Notes pane, and save it into a folder on my Mac. Sweet and simple, copy paste sync and saved. The latest example of using e-Sword for iPad, was last week when I was doing significant software maintenance routines on my wonderful 11-year-old iMac. Total iMac downtime was eight hours, time spent engaged and productive using e-Sword for iPad! If you love God's Word, are seeking peace in your heart, looking for God, or even attempting to prove the Bible is just historical literature and have an iPad, get e-Sword for iPad and go for it. This review made using Dragon Dictate for Mac, an amazing voice to text app.

This app has been one of the most amazing tools—placing unimaginable resources in one platform. I recommend this for a life time.

Ok so “this is the best one”. Get this one even if it costs a few dollars. If you can’t stand to spend the money then get BLB for free, but BLB doesn’t do as much. So far I see only one feature missing which is the ability to copy multiple formatted verses at once or append to the clipboard.

E-Sword is absolutely the best for real Bible study. Makes the iPad worth owning!
  • Okay app, but overpriced and questionable sales model.

Decent app for bible reading, but it doesn’t make it super easy to follow strong’s concordance while reading. This app would benefit from a multi-pane UI similar to the desktop app - at least on iPad. The app also requires you to pay separately for the iPhone vs iPad version, which feels a bit shady to say the least. Leaves me feeling like I shouldn’t have donated on PC knowing I had to pay for the same iOS app twice but whatever, I guess.

I have had this Bible program for some years now. It has been a blessing for me and many of my friends. I have heard nothing but thanks and Gloria A Dios for it. It is easy and thorough in its flow for insight. The inspiration for its origin has to give God the glory, as it brings NEWS FRO ON-HIGH. Thanks from a blessed person Dan Lira
