  • Unusable in fullscreen mode

I love the native UI that this app has but it is simply unusable for me because of one issue: it hides the tabs in fullscreen mode and there is no preference to keep them visible. When I have several codebases and need to swipe between them as fullscreen windows, I cannot use tabs because switching tabs requires me to move the mouse to the top of the screen. It would be great if the developer added more options to customize basic UI stuff like this, but it is very narrow in focus. Probably great for whoever made it, not for me. Literally all I want is to keep the tabs visible as if it were not fullscreen.
  • Good but needs a compiler for multiple languages

I love textastic and what would make it so much better is if it had a complie feature like coderunner! Please make it happen :)

It'd be very wonderful to have folding option. Other than that it's my preferred edit text as it sync flawlessly with my phone and ipad. I thing it's the only app that have such feature. Keep the good job

This is my favorit text editor. It supports opening huge files (like several GB log files or SQL dumps) with no porblem, where textedit.app or any other editor would suffer massive lag and/or crash. It also supports syntax highlighting for basically everything. I only wish it was available on more platforms.

So I used the tool for 1+ months…every work day. The tool itself is nice, and the price is good. This is somewhere in the C-> B- range of editors. A few things began to bother me: 1. There wasnt a way to search for a highlighted item..i.e. I highlight a word and then CMD+f…right now you get the last search. Except for textwrangler, most editors have this “choice” as an option, but I couldnt find that option…if it did exist. 2. I havent been able to reproduce this problem, so I am not sure what the sequence is to submit a bug report. However, after clicking on a file in the folder window, it should show up in editor, however, it doesn’t. The only cure is to close all the windows and start again…and sometimes that is not a guarentee. I assume OSX handling is part of the issue. The last time it happened I punted the tool…hard enough to debug frustrating code without a frustrating editor. 3. There wasnt a search and replace within a selected field/area. Really hated this lack of a feature. 4. If you search multiple files for the same thing, you keep having to “open” the search/find bar…subtly annoying. 5. When working with a number of tabs, the brief(shrunken) text tab header shown was far too cryptic….subtly annoying.
