    Content is great. Sometimes the commercials lag or don’t play at all and you have to restart the app. Fix that and you get 5 stars.

  • Apple TV app audio doesn’t match video/captions

    I can’t speak for the iPhone or iPad apps, but the Apple TV app leaves a lot to desire. Every few minutes of watching The Curse of Oak Island the audio repeats itself and lags behind the video and captioning. In order to fix it, you have to exit the video and start playing again until the same thing happens again moments later. Another frustration is if you choose to watch an interactive ad vs multiple regular ads , the screen doesn’t return to full size and plays the show on about 2/3s of the screen-also only fixable by exiting and replaying the episode. This is especially disappointing since this is a service I pay for. I would love a seamless watching experience please. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

    There is a great selection of shows. But for every minute you watch of show, you watch 2 minutes of ads. It is ridiculous the amount of ads you sit through in your extra long commercial breaks. I had a 12 minute commercial break, 6 minutes of show and then another long commercial break. If I could pay to remove ads I would, but they do not offer that option.

    The content is fantastic, however, the app crashes quite often after trudging through all of the (way too many!) commercials. You then have to restart and watch all of the commercials again. This happens on IPad, Firetv, and Roku.

    I was very disappointed that this app only works with a cable network. I canceled my cable, because it’s just getting too expensive. & now I’m using Roku, Pluto TV, & other free apps on my phone & TV. I was really hoping this app would have free episodes. Especially my all time favorite TV show, AX MEN. But of course it’s all locked & only works with a cable network. There’s no free trial or monthly or annually subscription through the app... I just want to be able to watch my favorite show again... please unlock AX MEN!!!

    I love the access to all the ancient alien episodes!! However, there are far too many ads!!!!! Too many commercials, get ready to hurry up and wait and watch commercials… LOL!!

    Decent app, user friendly layout. Having to log in with another paid service for most of the content should exempt you from so many commercials. If you don’t log in for awhile, the app forgets your progress on a series. The whole app in general is pretty glitchy and often content struggles to load or doesn’t load at all. I will concede that it’s performance has improved somewhat in the last 3 years but still needs help.

    Those stupid Ford commercials crash my WiFi everytime. I love the app. I love the shows. I hate watching the same commercial sometimes 6 times in a row..I promise no exaggeration! When the Ford commercial starts I know I am done. I literally have to close the app and go do something else. It’s very disappointing!!

    Trying to figure out where you left off since the app doesn’t tell you? Forget about it! No matter how far you fast forward or rewind, you will be hit with 5 minutes of adds as soon as you touch that scroll. It’s relentless & over the top. Every 10 minutes of show it plays 5 commercials.
