  • Terrible app

Frequently skips back a page or skips forward 2 pages when I try going forward only one page. Also constantly locks up and won’t go forward or backwards at all.
  • Better than previous but not great

The update is ahead of the earlier version but when an article is opened on a phone or tablet the words frequently run together. And it is still clunky.

It’s great having news, comics, & advice columns with me at all times. No newsprint ink on my hands!

I live the Austin American Statesman! I decided to switch to the digital version so I can always read it on the go. I love it and it saves paper and ink!!

We went paperless for two reasons: rates were cheaper and we felt it was the best decision with respect for the environment. Shortly after going paperless, I found the app nonfunctional. I couldn’t login. After spending the obligatory extended wait time to eventually speak to someone, the Statesman person explained the work around solution. Recently, it happened again. In both cases, neither time were we notified via email of the problem or how to deal with it. The app itself seems to work satisfactorily, it’s the Statesman organization that has been the problem. Come on Statesman, get your act together.

I like my newspaper. This email version is not perfect. Sometimes you touch the screen to do something and it does something else. But I am learning as are your producers. Really do like to get this e- paper while in Galvesron, St. Thomas, etc. overall, I like it.

Had to cancel our newspaper delivery after 30-40 years. We are now retired on fixed income and paper prices kept rising in order to service. We were advised to check out on line paper. After we learned how to navigate on line paper on our tablet we were so grateful. We now subscribe to just Sunday delivery and read on line the rest of the week. Best of both worlds'. Thank you'
