  • I CAN’T GET THIS VERSION TO OPEN

The last version was working just fine and now we upgraded to the newest version and it acts like it opens but then nothing comes up. It even says it is open on my MAC. Is something blocking it from opening?
  • new update messed up display

The display is not functioning as it should. Essentially what I can see is that the entire display is raised about an inch, inch and a half from the bottom. Furthermore, in order to click anything, I need to click where the icon would be in a non-distorted Parallels screen, rather than where I currently see it in the distorted window.
  • It honestly irritates me when people download an app without checking what the prerequisites are!

I have read review after review and it is obviously apparent that the reviewers didn't check what is required for this app to work! #1 is that this app is designed to work like Cisco Remote Desktop. In other words you need a fully configured windows server 2019 or 2020 (WS2019 or WS2020) installed on supported hardware necesssary to run the Parallels Remote Application Server (PRAS) &the server hardware needed to support the PRAS for the number of anticiated concurrent users . Then yoiu need the copy of the Windows OS eligile to be virtualized and with the appropriate apps for the shared resource. This software isn't for the users unfamiliar with setup oif servers, local & remote networking/subnetting. Setup of user accounts on the WS2019 or WS2020 with the neccessary functional access permissions and authentication. Remote access and VPN configuration for users not on the same network. For someone to download this software and expect it to work once installed on a Mac is a bit ignorant., My boss setup a test version of PRAS on WS2019 with VPN & 2 factor authenticatiion and things worked fine. Of course we have a T2 network connection so no issues with drops. The only issue she had was getting permissions properly setup for SSO to work. She missed a couple permissions that are Parallels specific to get just an app to launch and not a full desktop. We finished our test and I believe they are dropping Citrix due to the fee structure and the system was clunky and required a lot of handholding to keep things up.
  • Constantly Disconnects, not reliable

I downloaded for use to access an application that only runs on Windows (a reasonable work around in 1998 but not in 2020). Parallels constantly disconnects sometimes as much as every couple of minutes. This is close to making the application useless. I realize this may be on the server side but the software and/or the virtualized approach has been a poor experience.
  • Spanish: El programa es lento

Yo uso una MacBook Air (the new ones) y el Telechart2000 trabaja lento. A veces se queda pegado y se cierra el programa, otras veces solo tarda en responder. Deberian arreglar este problema y optimizarlo para Macs.
  • Do not download it will mess up your home directory

My iMac had worked flawlessly for 5 years. I downloaded and installed this app. I unwizely allowed it access to my home directory. It modified a bunch of files for some unknown reason and now Console is registering on average 5 errors/second. Uninstalling does no good as the damage is done. I am still looking for a solution. Please do not duplicate my mistake.
  • How to get help???

    1
    By qweyxz
Just posting a series of previous clients questions and frustrations doesn’t do much for assisting with the installation of this software. As a MAC user we always seem to get the short end of things. How about providing a live chat or even better a real person who actually knows how to install this program on a MAC? We certainly pay enough for this service to be entitled to some real help.

  • Performance problems on high-res screens

You guys need to solve RAS-25862, it's been three months. We're having to setup RDP over VPN (or sometimes just RDP) for users on high resolution macs because there is no work-around for this bug and performance makes remote sessions unusable.
  • Superior to Microsoft's RDP Client

I was running into many issues with Microsoft's RDP client where it would crash intermittently, seemingly when it had a more intensive task on the server. It was to a point where I was considering using a completely different solution and then I found Parallels Client and it just works. There is no issues now and I wish everyone would know about it, since it's far superior to Microsoft's client. Good work!
