So, at the core of your Noom journey is our psychology-based weight loss course, a series of 10 mini-courses that you can complete at your own pace. Every mini-course will help you gain specific knowledge, tools, and skills that will help you change your habits, lose weight, and make progress far beyond the scale. To set you up for success, your course also includes state-of-the-art tools: Food logging with over 1 million food items in our food database and 1 million scannable barcodes Over 1,000 interactive lessons A 1:1 coaching experience with personalized goal setting Hundreds of simple, healthy recipes Unlimited group support Water tracking feature to help you stay hydrated (NEW!) We'll help you ditch the idea of "good" foods and "bad" foods and develop a healthier relationship with food. Spoiler alert: It doesn't involve skipping meals, eating salads all day, or cutting carbs (unless you're slicing a sandwich). And we'll also cover lots of other fun topics like the psychology of weight loss, mindful eating, joyful movement, the science of metabolism, the 10 types of hunger, self-experimentation, emotional health, decision making, self care, and so much more! At the end of your journey, you'll have earned the title of Noom Master and have a set of healthy habits to help you keep the weight off for good and lead a healthier, more fulfilling life. On average, Noomers lose 18lbs in 16 weeks, and over 86% of Noomers keep the weight off beyond one year. Our scientifically-proven approach to weight loss and behavior change was created by a team of doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, and personal trainers. Noom has been featured in the New York Times, Women’s Health, Shape, Forbes, and more, and we've already helped millions of people worldwide achieve their health goals (a not-so-humble brag). And if you like talking science like we do, you might also recognize some of tried-and-true concepts and approaches that have informed our program like caloric density, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and more. • Great approach to sustaining a healthy lifestyle

I’ve made very few, very achievable and sustainable changes to the way I eat based on the lessons from Noom courses. And with those I’ve lost a few pounds and feel more appropriately satiated leaving a meal. Even if I don’t hit all my goals with Noom now, I feel like I now have a toolkit for life. And I have the confidence that when I slip off course, I know I can pick up again when ready.
  • Not syncing to devices.

I like using this but for some reason the iPhone app doesn’t sync to my iPad. I’d love to use both and watch it sync
  • Unexpected cost

Ok this is such a shady company. I started the trial, and was actually enjoying it. I was thinking to myself $29 a month would be worth this. But then I woke up this morning to a charge of $170. During the trial set up, I was never told that they would be charging in a “lump sum” I didn’t ever choose which subscription plan I’d be using so of course I had no idea that it wouldn’t be month to month payments. I reached out to them and asked them to refund me which they did so that’s why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. They need to work on their marketing and making costs more obvious. From reading the negative reviews, I can tell this isn’t just a one time mistake. Make prices more obvious or people will think you are shady, like I do
  • Psychology

Noom is working for me because Noom teaches, unlike any other "program" the psychology of dieting, weight control and eating. Understanding the "why" and then the "how" makes Noom work. I LOVE IT & LIVE IT!
  • Just what Ive been missing

I LOVE noom so far! It exactly what I've been missing. The daily articles, focus, a d intention is what keeps me on track and it's the mindset shift and lifestyle change I need. I've worked this into my morning routine and I feel empowered, motivated, and confident that this truly will be my year! Thanks Noom!
  • Calories vs Carb counting

I’ve been a low carb advocate for 20 years. Atkins was my mantra. Carb addiction has been real and the weight swings were dramatic - 20-30 lbs and the obvious health risks. Covid didn’t kill me but has left me with heart issues so the higher fat diet had to change - Enter Noom. and WOW - a actual understanding of what and why I eat and what to eat...and I get to eat some of my precious carbs while dieting! Fruit how I’ve missed you! Cookies occasionally too! Amazing diet - coaching daily to stay in the game. Great app to log your meals to stay within the daily calorie allowance. Step counter too....really worth the time not to mention they let you choose what you want to pay—yep you read that right. I’m in month 2 and on track although I’ve had some slips- I’m still noomin daily.

The best about Noom is that it is “daily”. Daily weigh ins, daily logging( which has become easy), daily excessive, daily lessons, daily encouragement.
  • Not so great for non-millennial males

Noom has lots of good things going for it, but it’s entire attitude is aimed at millennials and younger, and mostly at women. But it does have sound practice and theory behind it.
  • My journey

I began Noom in November of 2019. I successfully lost over 50 in one year. I left the program to see how well I could do in my own. I had more success than I had thought. When leaving Noom, I had achieved a weight lose of 35 pounds in 7 months. I continued using all the tools Noom taught me. For the months I wasn’t active, I did lose another 15 pounds but could feel myself slipping back into old habits but always had Noom on my mind. I just rejoined to stay on track. I love the Noom program and will Never do any other program again!
