  • At least I can search

Using this as my lab notebook, and it's just ok. I wish it would (automatically) put a new date stamp at the beginning of each day instead of just at the beginning of each page. Also, I accidentally started it in my person account instead of my university account, and it seems virtually impossible to simply transfer... I had to go through and copy and paste (and I already spent 2 hrs on the phone with IT, so it's not a simple thing I missed). At least I can search through the notebook for terms and protocols.
  • Poor note taking app

The app itself is good. It looks like it can sync with Android, Mac, ios, windows and others.. But if it could be easily and succefully managed.. Many IOS and Mac apps such as Agenda are much better.. If Windows could work on these apps smooth and natural flow 15 years ago probably Windows Mobile OS with these apps would dominate the market..

  • Worst product I have ever used

I can't really express how irritated I am at this product. There are so many problems with it, its hard to know where to begin. Scanning a document into it, which I do for travel expenses, creates a note that magnifies the text so much that a simple receipt gets spread over 3-4 pages and there appears to be no way to shrink it. I understand MS's approach to bundling users into a hard-to-move-away-from scheme. Losts of products do the same. Byt the entrapment in OneNote and OneDrive are are particularly noxious. There is no way to reasonably export notes out of OneNote. Lastly - the transition from OneNote 2016 to the current version is abominable! Really, you couldn't make it backward compatible? The conversion website takes forever and fails frequently. I'm just done with this product and will never get near it again. I've had to manually re-create notebooks (for Evernote). Really, if you are in the Apple universe (and you wouldn't be reading this review if you weren't), you should run from this product as fast as you can. Evernote does everything OneNote does, only much better

Arbitrarily leaves out soooo many useful features compared to the Windows version. Just make them match.

On my mac, OneNote seems to choke at times...or if the app is downloading a note, you don't get a sense of how long it will take...it is mostly instant, but it gets bogged down somehow a few times

One Note is a great product that works well for my work. Microsoft has made it really difficult to recover passwords and sync One Note from different computers/phones.
