  • Great alternative to PhotoShop

I'm a long-time PS user, and really like Affinity's ability to provide a solid choice when I don't want to pay the ongoing subscription. I've encountered some bumps in the transition, some of them because I just don't understand the decisions on the UI for AP sometimes (I'm looking at you eyedropper tool), and other times because it's just different from PS. I'm still working on breaking my habit of holding command to switch to the move tool and resize layers. Turns out you can just move to the border and resize without another tool. Duh. Give it a try!
  • Def worth it.

Still cheaper than Adobe, honestly prefer this UI and the functionality is almost the same. Lifetime upgrades are perfect as well.

I like this application it completely replace Adobe Photoshop, but the problem it doesn't sppourt RTL you can find a lot of requests on thier forum. but they don't care about suppourting it as it's not matter to them ! if you want application suppourt RTL try Pixelmator Pro , because it looks like they won't suppourt it since 2017 we requested this feature !

I love this app overall. Im an amateur user so i can speak for how in depth vs photoshop it is, but i generally love this app and can get everyhting i need done easily. The only thing is i have some glitch where sometimes it will just bounce in the dock until i force quit and relaunch. Other times, on my M1 chip, it will launch immediately. I had the same glitch on my 2017 Macbook Pro intel as well although when it did launch it did take a lot longer because of the intel chip vs the m1. So i have the same glitch of it not launching on both platforms consistently.

The value is increadible. I mostly use it for making memes and light photo editing. It has a great assortment of tools, and is straightfoward once you use it for a while. It's only missing a few features that I wanted in photoshop, but overall a great purchase for those who don't like the CC software as a service model.

App store won't update to 1.8.6. First got error message that it couldn't complete the update and then couldn't complete purchase and now no error message. Other photo manipulator had an unsuccessful update with same error messages but after repeated update attempts it finally completed. Not Affinity though. After submitting this, I tried again and it completed the update. Go figure. Love this program. Have had it for years now. Thanks Serif!

Little did I know that when I upgraded my MacBook to Mojave I'd loose the use of my Adobe software. So needless to say, I was freaking out there for a while. I planned on downgrading to Sierra, but dreaded the long & painstaking process. Then yesterday I came across Affinity & decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised, as it's very similar in many ways to PhotoShop. Of course there are some differences as well, but it's only a matter of getting used to them. We'll see what happens over time, but so far I'm happy with the product, and definately relieved! UPDATE: I've been using Affinity for a couple years and I must say, now that I'm accustomed to it, I enjoy it every bit as much as PhotoShop, if not more so. Transition was a little frustrating at first, but it didn't take long to get used to. It does everything Ps does, but unlike Ps, it's a one-time purchase and won't bleed your bank account! Thanks :)
  • Awesome, but . . .

A very impressive photo editing application for MAC. However, I bought this to stitch a 2-part photo together, the Pic is NOT a panorama & Affinity Photo will not process the 2 images & I cannot figure out how to stitch the 2 Photographs together with Affinity Photo. I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to contact Affinity Photo with this question & was able to contact a former YouTube instructor on Affinity Photo & he was no help. From My Experience, once you buy this application from from the Affinity Applications Developer, you’re on your own. There’s NO Contact Me I Can Help LINK on Affinity Photo’s Website that I could find. After not being able to contact this developer, i have to believe that he/she relies on the kindness of others to answer his/her questions (COMMUNITY) but what do you do when the community cannot help you. Frustrated in MidAmerica. . .
  • Excellent except for no RAW batch processing

The app performs beautifully, except for one major flaw. It doesn't support batch RAW edits. This means that if you have 100 RAWs from one shoot, you're looking at 2 hours of editing even if you want to apply the same adjustments to each photo. Other than that, I really really love this app! If you're only shooting a small number of photos, this is a great option!
