Repeat this three more times, taking a longer 15 minute break before starting the cycle again. Features: • Simple, distraction-free and intuitive interface. • Audio and visual alerts when the next period starts. Over 35 sounds available. • Configurable work and break durations. • Open, pause or stop the timer directly from notifications. • Interactive iOS notifications to view and control the timer. • Planner View shows when Work and Break periods will occur for the next 10 hours. • Use Timer Profiles to configure timer settings for different kinds of task. • Timer Profiles appear in iOS search results. Tap a result to automatically launch the app and change the timer settings. • Siri shortcuts for controlling the timer, viewing its status and selecting Timer Profiles. • Shortcuts run in the background without opening the app. A custom, animated, response view shows the current timer status. • Customise which timer status information is included in the response displayed/spoken by Siri. • Use Pommie shortcuts in Apple's Shortcuts app to control Pommie. Background execution is supported. • Manage shortcuts in Pommie's settings screen, the Shortcuts app on iOS 13, or in the Siri & Search section of Apple's Settings app. • Widget to quickly view and control the timer. • External display support showing a custom screen-filling view of the timer. • iPad multitasking and external keyboard shortcuts to control the timer. • Dynamic Text and VoiceOver for the visually impaired. • Handoff the timer to or from Pommie running on another iOS or Mac device. • Independent Apple Watch app, including complications, with its own timer. • Nice & Simple

I like this app. It’s simple and keeps me focused on the task at hand. I wish the time periods were a little more customizable, but I reached out to developer and got some hints to make the app work perfectly for me. Developer is very responsive to questions.

Very nice little app. Excellent watch complications. Speedy customer service (after updating WatchOS, my profiles didn’t show up on my watch. One small abs a few hours later, I knew that all i had to do was re-save the profiles to get them to resync)
  • Can be a top Pomodoro App

But missing two small and important features: (1)Sound - there is no option to get clock ticking sound as the regular Pomodoro makes. (2)Work session length - the customization is limited to 5, 10, 15... minutes. The regular Pomodoro allows more granularity (ex. Set the work session to 13m).
  • Limited customization

The “long break” length can’t be shorter than 10 minutes and must be increments of 5 -10 minutes. Developer is unwilling to add more options.
  • Not configurable enough

Wasted 2.99 assuming the paid version offered more flexibility. It’s hardly any different from free version. There are only max 6 work periods. You can’t establish a start or stop to your workday/productivity period; it just cycles continuously for 12 hrs, paid or free. You cant create a mix of period sizes (e.g. 4x 25+5 then 15 minute break, then repeat, longer lunch period, etc).
  • Terrible compatibility

Terrible compatibility with Apple Watch and iMac. Be prepared to get frustrated and have your Pommie messed up with either two timers running unintentionally or inability to transfer from one device to the other. Waste of money

TL;DR I recommend you try this app it works, with shortcuts, has a nice widget, and works with the screen off. I decided to try Pommie because I've been having trouble staying focused at work lately. There are a lot of timer apps out there but i settled on Pommie because i liked the design of the app and it worked with the screen off ( a lot of them don’t) and I have been immensely satisfied with this app. A few days later I had a really specific request that i figured he wouldn’t be able to do, and within 30 minutes he had emailed with a way to make a shortcut to work around my request. You should get this app now.
  • Drains the watch battery

My watch died less than 8 hours after having a full charge for the first time after installing this app. This was the only third-party app on it, and I had no paused exercise running. After removing this app, my watch started lasting longer again. It’s a shame since I really like the app’s design and functionality...

Does not sync time/intervals between phone app and watch app or watch app and watch complication. Could also use an option for whether or not you want your next work cycle/break to auto-start or not. Current default is to auto-start, which is not great if you are right in the middle of finishing something before you take a break. You can pause the cycles in theory, but it rarely works in practice (at least on the watch)
